Shihan Tiberiu Bredicean began his martial arts training in Kyokushin karate in 1978, training under Sensei Pop Ioan at Romania’s first official Kyokushin dojo in Baia Mare. Practicing in a time when martial arts were illegal under Romania’s communist regime, he faced significant challenges. In 1986, his family received a political refugee visa to the United States, where he was finally free to pursue his passion fully.

In addition to his expertise in Kyokushin, Shihan Bredicean has trained extensively in judo and boxing, dedicating up to six hours daily to honing his skills. His commitment to a comprehensive approach to martial arts is unwavering, embodying his philosophy of hard training and perseverance. He is known for his resilience and his motto: “All my life I trained hard and sometimes I pay the price for it, but I will never change it for anything.”

Bredicean’s dedication to martial arts has made him a respected figure among his peers, inspiring others to “never stop learning and never stop training.”
