Who Are We?
We are the oldest karate school in the Chicagoland area, and have been in business for over 58 years.
We have now relocated to Laporte Indiana and look forward to continue to teach each and every new student.
We teach Mas Oyama’s Kyokushin Karate, it is a very disciplined martial art that emphasizes on fighting, kata, and strong mental and physical conditioning.
Japanese terminology is interchanged with English to reinforce tradition. Every sixth class we teach judo/weapon defense.
The late Hanshi Gregory T. Johnson, was an 8th Dan in Kyokushin Karate, he was the Founder and Chief Instructor. He taught self-defense tactics at the Chicago Police Academy.
His legacy lives on through the teaching of his black belt students. We look forward to meeting you and helping you with your martial arts journey.
